bike 1

This is my bike at my old

job. It has Columbus SLX tubeset, Henry James lugs, Pacenti and Shimano

dropouts. I painted it with Krylon rattlecan paint. Here

is the black side with

red forks.

This is the red side

with black forks. I

painted the bike to go with the wheels I

made and the Cinelli plastic saddle.

Custom road frame with disk brakes at its new home. Columbus SLX fillet brazed tubeset, Pacenti fork crown and intergrated rear disk mount dropouts. The customer wanted a Raiders paintjob. Hand painted with Krylon rattlecans.

Single black metalflake decals

on the downtube. They fit nice in

the black area.

Headtube and forkcrown combo. The shifter bosses were set by hand. The logo shield

was Raiders influenced and

hand stenciled,

as well as the rest

of the paintjob.

Here you can see the

slight curve in the

wishbone seatstays and

the disk setup. I like the

way the paintcame out

on this. It looks just

like the Raiders

uniform stripes.

This is the Frankenbike.

I fillet brazed it from

old cracked and

crashed frames. The

main triangle and chainstays are from a

tall Bianchi. The seatstay is a Trek 420 fork that was bent back in a crash. I used a new bottom bracket shell.

I had to re-space

the fork and file

room for the

cassette so the

rear wheel would

fit. I had to use a longer brake bolt

so the rear brake would function

normal.

bike 1

A nice side view

of the fork/

seatstay. I painted the forkcrown the same color as the frame so you notice the fork details.

I painted this bike with Krylon chalkbard rattlecan paint over the

decals.

This is a partial replica of

a Univega Super Sport. I

used a Columbus Zona

tubeset, Henry James lugs/forkcrown and

Campy dropouts. I painted

a black basecoat and used colored metalflake

clearcoat. Paint is done

with rattlecans and is one

of my favorite paintjobs.

The owner set it up as

a single speed so he

could ride it right away. The frame was built as

a fully functioning

road bike.

Finished frame

with my parts for

the test ride. I

used a Columbus Zona tubeset,

Henry James lugs/forkcrown

and Pacenti rear dropouts. This

frame is one of

my favorites.

Top view of my wishbone concept. I had to redo the assembled piece 3 times before i got it right. You can see the slight curve of the square tube and the angle

that the seatstays will go.

Side view of my

concept. Notice the square stock i curved

and the main cap for

the monostay.

The finished custom wishbone seatstay. Mitering those

angles evenly

by hand was

very hard.

40 hours of hard work paid off.

Notice the teardrop shaped seatstay

caps.

Seatstays freshly brazed onto the

rear dropouts in

my garage.

The heatube/toptube

combo. The fog takes it toll

on the bare steel frame.

Finished brazing, now onto the finish filing!

The frame and

fork after paint. I

used gloss black

rattlecan and black

metalflake decals.

I really like the

way the wishbone turned out.
